Henderson lands on podium in Ice Bowl at Talladega Short Track
Kicking off his 2024 racing season with the Rusty Webb crew, Matt Henderson pulled into Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Ala.) on Friday afternoon for night one of the 33rd-running of the Ice Bowl.
With a strong field of 36 Crate Racin' USA Late Models checked in, Henderson qualified third-quickest in his group and gained one spot in his heat to finish runner-up.
Earning the eighth-place starting position for Saturday's $4,000-to-win A-Main, Matt quietly snuck into the Top-5 and shot to the third-position on a late restart. Henderson trailed Will Roland and Tyler Millwood while Cory Hedgecock and Cruz Skinner completed the Top-5.
