Henderson pilots Boleware Motorsports No. 18 Street Stock at Whynot

Taking part in the 10th annual Southern Street Stock Nationals presented by Strength Roofing & Siding, Matt Henderson invaded Whynot Motorsports Park (Meridian, Miss.) to pilot the Boleware Motorsports No. 18B Street Stock for Wednesday’s practice.

Following the fifth-fastest time in a massive field of 75 cars in Wednesday’s test session, Henderson laid down the eighth-quickest lap in his 36-car group on Thursday night. Starting his qualifying feature in fourth, Matt was collected in a tangle while battling for the lead that dropped him to eighth.

On Friday, Matt bottomed out in his consolation race which led to a destroyed radiator, relegating him into a LCQ on Saturday for one last shot at the $5,000-to-win Southern Street Stock Nationals finale.

Sending only the race-winner into the show, Henderson mounted an impressive charge from 17th-to-fifth despite muddy track conditions, but failed to qualify for the main event.
