Henderson scores Top-5 finish in Tennessee Tipoff at Smoky Mountain

Debuting in the CVR Race Cars No. 17 house car, Matt Henderson invaded Smoky Mountain Speedway (Maryville, Tenn.) on Saturday afternoon for the for the Crate Late Model portion of the ninth annual Tennessee Tipoff. After getting caught behind a tangle in his hot lap session, Henderson secured his spot into the A-Main with the third fastest lap in qualifying. Fading two spots in the 20-lap feature, Matt scored a fifth-place finish, trailing Cameron Weaver, Zach Sise, Logan Roberson, and Carson Ferguson across the line. (Josh James Artwork)
