Pair of podium finishes in Carolina Sizzler at Charlotte

Taking part in the inaugural Carolina Sizzer, Matt Henderson trekked to the Dirt Track at Charlotte (Concord, N.C.) on Saturday afternoon for the doubleheader weekend with the American Crate All-Star Series. With time constraints reducing the program on Saturday, Henderson locked into the seventh-starting position for the opening night feature via his qualifying effort. With $2,000 on the line, Matt marched forward five spots in the 25-lapper to register a runner-up finish. On Sunday afternoon, Matt recorded the second fastest time in his group before placing fifth in the Dash. Earning the fifth-starting position for the $10,000-to-win finale, Henderson pounced into third early and was eyeing the front runners when a threatening storm forced officials to call the race on the 24th lap. Dillon Brown and Jason Welshan finished ahead of Matt while Jesse Lowe and Logan Roberson completing the Top-5 finishers.
