Henderson scores 12th place finish in World Championship at Cochran Motor Speedway

Taking part in the two-day Chevrolet Performance World Championship, Matt Henderson visited Cochran Motor Speedway (Cochran, Ga.) on Saturday afternoon for the Crate Racin’ USA sanctioned weekend. In a stout field of 55 Late Models, Henderson laid down the fastest lap overall in time trials but got collected with another competitor in his heat race while battling for the lead that saw him retire early. After failing to transfer out of his B-Main on Sunday afternoon with power steering issues, Matt was granted a provisional in $20,000-to-win finale. Rolling off 22nd, Matt Henderson advanced through the field 10 spots in the 75-lap affair to register a 12th place finish.
