Matt Henderson traveled to Whynot Motorsports Park (Meridian, Miss.) on Thursday night for the eighth annual Southern Street Stock Nationals. Piloting the Boleware Motorsports No. 18 Street Stock for the opening night of qualifiers, Henderson timed in 29th fastest in his 38-car field.
Taking part in another qualifying session on Friday, Matt recorded the 20th fastest time before coming in 17th in his qualifying feature. Transferring into the E-Main, Henderson locked his spot into the D-Main with a 7th place finish. Passing seven cars in his D-Main to finish fourth, Matt earned the 16th-starting spot for his C-Main. Locking the Top 3 into the B-Main for one last shot at the $5,151-to-win A-Main on Saturday night, Henderson logged a 17th place outing. (Blake Hagan Photography)
Earning a spot into the non-qualifier feature on Saturday, Henderson marched forward nine spots to place eighth.

August 8, 2020 - Lingering mechanical issue withdraws Henderson at Spring City |
On Saturday afternoon Matt Henderson returned behind the wheel of the Scottie and Kaylor Hogan-owned No. 15H Sportsman at Mountain View Raceway (Spring City, Tenn.). In a field of 17 cars, Henderson laid down the second fastest lap in time trials behind Addison Cardwell. Receiving the pole position for the Dash via the redraw, Matt ran into mechanical issues that forced him to retire early. With the same problem resurfacing on the opening lap of the feature, Henderson was sidelined for the remainder of the evening.

August 1, 2020 - Henderson salvages fourth place finish at Mountain View |
Saturday night found Matt Henderson in action at Mountain View Raceway (Spring City, Tenn.) piloting the Scottie and Kaylor Hogan-owned No. 15H Sportsman entry. After qualifying fifth fastest in a field 16 cars, Henderson improved one spot in the 20-lap feature to place fourth behind Jed Emert, Justin Cameron, and Josh Walker with Aaron Watson coming in fifth.
